Sand Barrier Prevents Termite Invasions
5 Star has been experimenting with a new permanent termite barrier created with a layer of coarse, abrasive sand. There are no chemicals required.
The grains in this specific type of sand are angular, with clean, sharp edges. When the termites try to build their tubes through it, the edges of the grains cut through the tubes, as well as the termites themselves, killing the bugs and making penetration impossible.
