5 Star Termite and Pest Control has been an innovator in the pest control industry for over 25 years.
Founded in 1980, 5 Star's mission is to provide highly effective ways to control termites and other pests without harming the environment.
5 Star was the first company to stop using the inefficient process of power spraying. Power spraying was a heavy-handed and toxic process that often killed plants and trees without providing long-lasting pest control.
Instead, 5 Star began to limit the treatment area to the locations where it was most effective and non-intrusive to non-targeted insects and plants.
In the late 1980's, 5 Star's owner, Shelby Hawkins, began the research and experimentation that has resulted in an entirely new method of termite control.
The patented process, called ETT444®, is more effective and longer lasting than traditional termite control methods. It works well in both existing structures and when used as a pretreatment for new construction.
What started as a one-woman company now employs many technicians and representatives to provide ETT444® protection and other pest control services to Tucson and all of Arizona.
